Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, , and community environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and Alzheimer's. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be the vital link ensuring residents and clients receive respectful, personalized care that promotes independence and quality of life. Your energetic approach and commitment will help create a safe, comfortable environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing for any changes in condition or behavior Support by assisting in medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and report any concerns to supervising staff Requirements Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Certification in First Aid and CPR and additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly valued Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or mobility aids preferred Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license may be required for community-based care roles Join us as a Personal Care Assistant if you're passionate about providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
