Days, Evening, Overnight, Weekday, Weekend Opportunities! All About Family Home Care Services LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) . Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. MAKE YOUR SCHEDULE WITH YOUR CLIENT

You will coordinate your service schedule with your client based on the client's needs, authorized service hours, and mutual availability.

Available service times may include:

Mornings Afternoons Evenings Overnights Weekdays Weekends Shorter service periods Longer service periods 12-hour service periods Some clients may need schedules such as 8:00 AM-8:00 PM or 8:00 PM-8:00 AM , but these are not the only schedules available . Other hours may be available, giving you and your client flexibility to coordinate a schedule that works for both of you while meeting authorized service needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will vary based on the needs, abilities, goals, and service plan of the individual you support.

Responsibilities may include:

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, hygiene, dressing, and other daily needs Encourage individuals to develop and maintain independence with everyday living skills Assist with safe mobility, positioning, and transfers when required Use approved transfer equipment, including Hoyer lifts, when applicable and when properly trained Observe an individual's health and well-being and report changes or concerns according to required procedures Assist with meal planning, cooking, meal preparation, and appropriate nutrition according to the individual's needs and service plan Help maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment Follow applicable health, safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures Provide medication assistance or administration when authorized, properly trained, and permitted under the individual's service plan and applicable requirements Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support Respect each individual's rights, privacy, preferences, choices, and dignity Support individuals with community outings, activities, shopping, errands, and appointments Assist with transportation when applicable to the individual's services Help individuals develop social and communication skills Encourage participation in hobbies, recreational activities, and community events Help individuals work toward personal goals Support individuals in building confidence and self-esteem Complete required service documentation accurately and on time Follow applicable person-centered plans, policies, and service requirements

PERSON-CENTERED SUPPORT

Our goal is not simply to do things for the individuals we serve. DSPs encourage individuals to participate, make choices, learn skills, build confidence, and become as independent as possible. You may help someone learn how to prepare a meal, shop for groceries, participate in a community activity, improve a daily living skill, explore a new hobby, or accomplish a personal goal. Every person's needs are different, which means every DSP opportunity is different.

QUALIFICATIONS

We're looking for individuals who are: Compassionate, patient, and respectful Dependable and responsible Professional and trustworthy Positive and encouraging Comfortable working independently Able to communicate effectively Able to follow person-centered service plans and applicable requirements Able to maintain professional boundaries Able to complete required documentation Able to maintain confidentiality Able to safely perform the physical responsibilities required for the specific client they support Able to work flexible service hours based on mutually agreed availability and client needs Reliable with transportation when transportation is necessary for the contracted services Previous experience in direct support, home care, group homes, assisted living, nursing facilities, community-based services, or similar settings is helpful but may not be required for every opportunity. Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, Behavioral or other support needs may also be beneficial depending on the individual being served.

Applicable requirements include: HIPAA and confidentiality Health and safety procedures Infection control Documentation requirements Professional boundaries Person-centered services Individual rights Community-based support Abuse, neglect, and exploitation prevention and reporting Medication-related training when applicable Safe transfers and mobility assistance when applicable Background checks and required screenings Additional program-specific training or qualifications Don't currently have every required certification?
