Job Description

Front Desk Patient Care Assistant We are seeking a caring, welcoming, and detail-oriented Front Desk Patient Care Assistant to join our multidisciplinary wellness clinic. As one of the first people our patients encounter, you will play an important role in creating a warm, professional, and organized experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as they arrive Check patients in and notify the appropriate healthcare provider or staff member of their arrival Provide patients with necessary forms, paperwork, and other information Assist patients with completing required paperwork and answer general questions Direct walk-in patients and visitors to the appropriate staff member or department Answer and direct incoming phone calls as needed Monitor the front desk and waiting area to help maintain a welcoming and organized environment Communicate patient needs and messages to the appropriate team member Assist with general administrative and front-office tasks Maintain patient information and handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Work collaboratively with the Scheduling Desk, healthcare providers, and other departments to ensure a smooth patient flow Help wherever needed to support the team and provide an exceptional patient experience Skills & Qualities We're Looking For Warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoys helping people Professional and welcoming demeanor Detail-oriented and organized Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Team-oriented and willing to assist others Comfortable interacting with a diverse patient population Basic technology and computer skills Able to communicate clearly and confidently with patients and staff Spanish-speaking is highly preferred Previous medical office or healthcare experience is preferred Hours & Compensation Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. $19-$21 per hour , depending on experience Incentive bonus opportunities Paid time off About the Position As a Front Desk Patient Care Assistant, you will help set the tone for the patient experience. You will be responsible for welcoming patients, helping them navigate their visit, providing necessary paperwork and information, and making sure walk-in patients and other visitors are connected with the appropriate team member. The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, attentive, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative . You should enjoy interacting with people and understand that even small details—such as greeting a patient warmly, noticing when someone needs assistance, or making sure a message reaches the right person—can make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
