Schedule:

Varies; Start times as early as 6:00 AM We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Transit Driver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team! In this dual role, you will be responsible for safely transporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to and from our day program, as well as providing direct support services during program hours. This is a key position that ensures the safety, comfort, and support of our participants throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

Transit Driver Duties:

Safely transport clients to and from the day program using a company vehicle Follow scheduled routes and ensure timely pick-up and drop-off Assist clients in boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained Report any vehicle issues or incidents to management

Direct Support Professional Duties:

Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities Promote independence, self-advocacy, and social engagement Assist with personal care, behavior management, and activity participation Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized service plans Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment

Requirements:

Valid California Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement At least 2 years of experience driving vans, shuttles, or school buses Clean driving record Ability to navigate routes using GPS or maps Strong understanding of local traffic laws and defensive driving practices Excellent time management, communication, and reliability Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred DSP certification is a plus (higher pay offered based on certification)
