CO-OP Program Position Details Position Type :
Part-time and full-time available
Salary :
$16.90 - $17.50/hour
Employment Type:
Part-time to start, with opportunities to transition into full-time based on performance and program needs. Qualifications We're looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who enjoy teaching, encouraging, and supporting others. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate's Degree preferred, but not required Required Qualifications At least one year of experience in rehabilitation or human services, preferably supporting individuals with Autism Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to promote learning while serving as a positive role model Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid California Class C Driver's License Department of Justice and DMV clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience working collaboratively as part of a team Knowledge of health and safety practices Experience teaching, training, or leading others using positive communication techniques A patient, respectful, and encouraging approach to supporting individuals with diverse abilities Quick learner who can both follow and provide direction professionally and respectfully Responsibilities As a Direct Support Professional in the CO-OP Program, you will: Provide individualized and group instruction in vocational, community, domestic, recreational, communication, and behavioral skills. Assess participant progress and adapt instruction to support individual goals. Document client objectives, progress, and services accurately and timely. Provide direct support services in accordance with Regional Center authorizations. Monitor client behavior, safety, and medication-related needs as required. Encourage independence, personal growth, and community inclusion. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support each participant's Individual Program Plan (IPP). Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Transport participants to community-based activities as needed. Why You'll Love This Role Every day is different.
