Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene Support patients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to identify any changes or concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in accordance with healthcare standards Experience Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred Group home experience or assisted living experience is advantageous for understanding residential care environments Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care enhances your ability to support complex needs Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and patient observation is essential Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism supports effective communication and tailored caregiving strategies Previous roles involving home health or long-term care provide a strong foundation for this position Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling or Hoyer lifts is beneficial Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate, respectful care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
