Founded in 1919, our exceptional person-centered programs and services have supported individuals in living creative, productive, joyful, and healthy lives for more than a century. Cedars' Community Connections program provides meaningful, person-centered opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to participate in activities and experiences that promote independence, engagement, connection, and quality of life. We are currently looking for a compassionate and skilled full-time 1:1 Support to provide individualized support to a participant in our Community Connections program. As a 1:1 Support, you will work closely with the participant to provide individualized support throughout the day based on their interests, abilities, and individual needs. You will help create meaningful daily experiences that encourage independence, participation, connection, and enjoyment. This is a hands-on role that combines individualized program support with direct care. Depending on the participant's needs, responsibilities may include assisting with personal care, personal hygiene, toileting, mobility, and other daily needs. You will provide patient, compassionate, and person-centered support while helping the participant remain engaged in activities and experiences that are meaningful to them. The work is active, relationship-focused, and rewarding. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM-1:00 PM. The rate of pay is $22.00-$22.30 per hour. Experience providing direct caregiving or a willingness to learn and provide hands-on personal care when needed. The ability to provide positive, person-centered support that promotes independence, engagement, and quality of life. The ability to support an individual based on their interests, abilities, and individual needs. Patience, compassion, reliability, and professionalism. The ability to work collaboratively with a team and provide support wherever needed. Excellent attendance and punctuality. The ability to teach, share skills, and participate in meaningful activities. Ability to pass an employment physical, including a TB test, and meet the physical requirements of the job. A valid California driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a willingness to drive a passenger van. CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both. Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ. An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor are helpful!
