Lead Direct Support Professional (Part Time)

Compensation :
$23 to $25 per hour, depending on experience About Almost Family Almost Family provides 1:1 support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across San Diego County. We are vendored through San Diego Regional Center. Our work is built around helping the people we serve live independently, safely, and on their own terms. About the Role The Lead DSP is a hybrid field and office position. You will spend part of your week providing direct support to clients and part of it in our San Diego office supporting scheduling, communication, and hiring. This role is designed for someone who is already a strong DSP and wants to move toward operations and leadership. It starts part time with the expectation that it grows into full time as our San Diego program expands. Responsibilities Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Direct Support Professional (DSP) team. Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans that promote independence and community inclusion. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support clients with daily living activities, including personal care, transportation, community engagement, development, and employment. Train and mentor new DSP staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Document client progress and any incidents in a timely and accurate manner. Other administrative support tasks as assigned. Requirements Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide hands-on assistance with personal care and daily living activities. Flexible schedule to meet the needs of our clients. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks and provide references.
Benefits Compensation:
