Pay Range:
$19.00•$24.00 Orientation & training : $18.47
Job Summary:
The Companion Caregiver provides essential non-medical support to clients in their homes, promoting their well-being and independence. This role focuses on companionship, assistance with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities:
Companionship and Support:
Provide friendly conversation and encourage social interaction. Motivate clients to engage in light exercise programs. Offer medication reminders to support adherence. Supervise clients during bathing, toileting, and dressing to ensure their safety. Assist with grocery shopping and errands.
Home Management:
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living space.
Professional Conduct:
Arrive punctually for scheduled shifts and complete all assigned tasks within the allotted time. Maintain strict confidentiality of client information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Follow appropriate infection control procedures, including universal precautions, to safeguard client health. Report any observed changes in client condition or concerns to the office promptly. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Represent the company professionally at all times. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs. Maintain clear and effective communication with office staff, including availability updates. Comply with all time and attendance policies. Provide required documentation (e.g., annual PPD, in-service training) in a timely manner and adhere to all compliance standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Available Shifts:
Overnight:
10:00 PM•6:00 AM & 11:00 PM•7:00
AM Mid-day:
3:00 PM•11:00 PM and flexible hours within that range.
Weekend:
Overnight and mid-day shifts.
Morning:
Starting at 7:00 AM. Shift lengths vary from 4 to 12 hours.
Requirements:
One (1) year of experience as a Companion Caregiver or Homemaker is preferred. Reliable and punctual, with excellent time management skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to company policies. Demonstrated compassion and strong interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in English may be required. Basic computer proficiency.
