Direct Support Professional/Caregiver A Home In the city of Angel Simi Valley, CA Job Details Full-time $17.50 - $19.00 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Client rights in caregiving Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Personal transportation assistance Food preparation Patient interaction Bathing assistance Passenger safety First aid and CPR Full Job Description Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Accompany residents to the community activities and provide appropriate supervision and support during outings. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety procedures Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction Maintain a clean, safe environment through light housekeeping, cleaning duties, and meal preparation Requirements Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation or errands Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members clearly and compassionately Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely Commitment to respecting residents' rights and promoting dignity in all interactions
