Autism Ashram Awaaz is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2022. Our mission is to amplify the "awaaz" — which means voice in Hindi — of disabled individuals. We currently run a Level 6 Group Home in Turlock, CA About our Group Home (Turlock, CA) Our group home is a 24/7 residential facility for kids aged 12-17 with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities We offer both vocational and daily living support We help our residents navigate their teenage years and gain the skills to be self-sufficient adults

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Care and Supervision :

Offer hands-on support tailored to each resident's individual needs as outlined in their IPP (Individualized Program Plan). From assistance with daily living activities to emotional support, you'll play a critical role in each resident's day-to-day life.

Skill Development :

Help residents develop essential life, social, and vocational skills to foster independence, confidence, and personal growth.

Health and Safety :

Administer medications, treatments, and special diets as prescribed by healthcare providers. Observe and document client conditions, behaviors, and any significant changes, communicating promptly with the team. Creating a

Positive Environment :

Support a safe, therapeutic, and welcoming environment for all residents, promoting dignity, respect, and inclusivity.

Community Collaboration :

Work closely with professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare providers, to coordinate care and services.

Upholding Standards :

Follow Community Care Licensing (Title 22) and VMRC Title 17 regulations to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience High school diploma or GED is required. 1 year prior experience in direct supervision of disabled individuals required

Clearances and Certifications :

Valid California driver's license.

Completion of required clearances:

fingerprint, criminal background check, physical exam, TB test, Child Abuse Index, CPR/First Aid.

Personal Skills and Attributes :

Genuine passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong personal qualities including maturity, emotional stability, and high ethical standards. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, with effective communication skills.
