Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while encouraging independence Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with safe manual handling techniques during patient transfers Maintain detailed documentation of care plans, patient progress, and incident reports in accordance with healthcare standards Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly valued Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism Skilled in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration Proficient in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance Knowledge of medication administration protocols and resident rights regulations Ability to operate patient transfer devices like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Capable of performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas to ensure a safe environment Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is a plus Familiarity with emergency procedures including first aid, CPR certification, and basic life support techniques Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives the respect they deserve.
