Full Job Description Job Summary:
Performs personal care and assists the patient in activities of daily living under direction of a registered nurse. The Home Health Aide assignment shall be made in accordance to the Plan of Treatment .
Qualifications:
Completion of a California Department of Health approved training program as outlined in Section 74747 of Title 22 or its equivalent/
Job Knowledge:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists patients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care and bathing. Assists patients in and out of bed and assists with ambulation. Assists with prescribed exercises which patients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel. Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets, and assists patients with eating. Assists patients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals. Performs household services which will facilitate the patient's self-care at home and are necessary to prevent or postpone institutionalization. Assists patients with medications which are ordinarily self-administered. The home health aide shall not administer medications of any kind. Reports changes in the patient's condition and needs to the supervising nurse or therapist. Completes records regarding services performed. •
MUST HAVE BOTH CHHA AND CNA CERTIFICATES ACTIVE
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
