) Positive Attitude & Excellent Customer Service We are looking for extremely patient and friendly team members with a positive can-do attitude. You will be working with people that have very challenging behaviors. The people you will be assisting have mental health diagnosis and or developmental disabilities. When you come to work be prepared to greet all residents in the home warmly and enthusiastically. Always have a smile and make eye contact with every resident (consumer) that lives in the home. If you appear to be having a good day, so will they. Consumers live where you work. All consumers need to be supervised at all times. We are looking to hire staff that will be personal assistants to the consumers and have an enjoyable attitude towards them and treats them with respect and dignity. Consumers are not children and require patience and attention. You are working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. Remember to not take things personally. Stay positive, work together and keep a happy, loving attitude. Be kind to consumers and they will be glad that you are on shift. You are not telling consumers what to do, but rather encouraging them to make smart choices for their lives. Ultimately all consumers want to be friends with the staff, so be their friend.
