Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional in-home and community-based care. As a vital member of our caregiving staff, you will support individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. Your role will focus on promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life through personalized care and attentive support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare teams to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across various settings such as assisted living facilities or group homes Skills Proven experience in home care, assisted living, long-term care, or hospice environments with a strong understanding of patient observation and monitoring techniques Knowledge of specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or memory care needs Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in Alzheimer's care or hospice care is a plus HCA registered Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring complex medical support Strong communication skills for documenting patient information accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; experience using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is preferred Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to safety and patient well-being Join us in delivering compassionate home care that truly makes a difference!
