Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. In this role, you will provide essential assistance in a variety of settings, including outdoor activities, festivals and home health environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure individuals receive respectful, personalized care that promotes their independence, safety, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the community. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Monitor and observe patients' conditions closely, including vital signs, patient personal care needs, and behavioral changes related to neurodevelopmental disorders like autism. Support medication administration following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary requirements. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transfers and travel. Document all care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient progress or concerns. Skills Prior caregiving experience Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently; certification preferred but not required upon hire.
