In this role, you will support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities as they build skills, participate in their communities, and pursue greater independence. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care needs Helping prepare meals and encouraging healthy routines Assisting with feeding when necessary Teaching and reinforcing practical life skills Supporting participation in recreational, social, and community activities Encouraging individuals to make choices and develop greater independence Providing support during appointments, outings, and other activities Creating a positive, respectful, and welcoming environment Whether you're helping someone prepare a meal at home, practice an important life skill, or participate in an activity in the community, your support helps make greater independence possible.
