Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient observations, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect privacy. Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings to foster independence. Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health standards. Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices. Familiarity with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement and medication administration procedures. Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Certification in CPR and first aid to respond swiftly during emergencies. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum conditions is highly valued. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required while maintaining a compassionate approach. Understanding of resident's rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations.
