CNC Machinist Rocky Hill, CT 1st Shift $28-$32/hr

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of CNC machining experience and is looking for an opportunity to expand their skill set while manufacturing precision aerospace components. We welcome applications from experienced machinists as well as graduates of Goodwin University's CNC Manufacturing Program or similar precision machining programs who are looking to grow their careers in aerospace manufacturing. Technical Qualifications 3-5 Axis CNC Mill setup and operation Multi-Axis CNC lathe experience ideal Blueprint Reading GD&T Knowledge First Piece Inspection Quality / Inspection CMM Operation (PC-DMIS experience preferred) Mastercam G & M Code reading/editing Work Offsets Tool Offsets Tool Changes Program Adjustments Indicating Advanced Metrology & Calibration Micrometers Calipers Comparators Height Gages Various Inspection Gages Quality Practices & Measurements Lean Manufacturing MetallurgyPreferred Qualifications Technical education from Goodwin University, Asnuntuck Community College, or another accredited CNC/Precision Machining program is highly preferred. CNC Manufacturing / Precision Machining Certificate or equivalent experience Technical Drawings & Specifications Experience producing close-tolerance components Aerospace manufacturing experience Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-5 Axis CNC Mills Set up and operate CNC Lathes Perform First Piece Inspection and In-Process Inspection Utilize Micrometers, Calipers, Comparators, Height Gages and other precision measuring equipment Make Work Offsets, Tool Offsets, and Program Adjustments Read and interpret Blueprints and Engineering Specifications Work to close tolerances while maintaining the highest quality standards
