From $18.00 per hour Job Description Connecticut Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, P.C. is growing, and we are looking for an energetic and dependable Patient Care Assistant / Medical Office Roomer to join our clinical team. Medical Assistant certification is not required for this position. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong customer service skills, and is interested in working in a medical office environment. Previous healthcare, medical office, patient care, or customer service experience is helpful.

The primary focus of this position is to support our providers and Medical Assistant team by efficiently rooming patients, gathering basic information, maintaining exam rooms, and helping keep patients moving smoothly through the office.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn . Teamwork is a priority within our practice, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while providing patients with a welcoming and compassionate experience. Responsibilities Greet patients and escort them from the waiting area to the appropriate exam room. Confirm patient identity and reason for the visit. Obtain and document basic patient information and history as directed. Review and verbally confirm information with patients during the rooming process. Obtain basic vital signs when appropriate and trained to do so. Prepare patients and exam rooms for their visit with the provider. Communicate with providers and Medical Assistants regarding patient readiness and basic patient needs. Assist the clinical team with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the office. Clean, prepare, and restock exam rooms between patients. Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas remain organized and appropriately supplied. Assist with obtaining outside records, test results, or other information needed for upcoming appointments. Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate assistance to patients. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Follow office safety, infection-control, and HIPAA policies. Work collaboratively with providers, Medical Assistants, front desk staff, and scheduling staff. Travel to other CTENT office locations when needed. Perform other non-clinical and patient-support duties as assigned. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification is not required. Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare, patient care, hospitality, or customer service setting is preferred. Comfortable interacting directly with patients of all ages. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Positive, professional, and compassionate attitude. Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member. Comfortable learning electronic health record systems and basic medical terminology. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries. Flexibility to travel between CTENT locations when needed. What We Are Looking For.
