Direct Support Professional (Direct Care Worker)
Locations:
Kent, and Sussex Counties, Delaware Make a Difference Every Day At Choices for Community Living (CCL) , we're looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who want a rewarding career supporting adults with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible while encouraging personal growth, community involvement, and meaningful experiences. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care Support meal planning, preparation, and dietary needs Administer medications after successful completion of required certification training Encourage participation in community activities, recreation, and social events Help individuals achieve personal goals and increase independence Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment Build positive relationships and provide compassionate support Qualifications Valid Delaware driver's license Ability to assist individuals with mobility and daily activities, including lifting, transferring, bending, walking, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and climbing as needed Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical examination, and drug screening Ability to complete all required state and agency training programs Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing quality care Schedule Full-time and part-time opportunities available Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts available Schedules based on program and staffing needs Benefits Starting pay of $18.50 per hour Paid training and ongoing professional development Opportunities for career growth and advancement 401(k) retirement plan Health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees Paid time off (PTO) Supportive team environment focused on employee success Join Our Team If you're passionate about helping others and want a career where your work truly matters, we'd love to hear from you.
