Demonstrated experience in patient observation, dementia care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, or hospice care is valuable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining confidentiality of patient information is essential. Hands-on experience with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement and medication administration is required. Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities supports success in this role. Experience working with seniors or geriatrics, including long-term care settings, enhances your ability to provide empathetic caregiving.
