Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity Support clients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient observation and monitor behavioral changes, especially for those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders Help with meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean environment to promote health and safety Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury Support residents with community outings, transportation assistance, and engaging in social activities to foster independence Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and incident reports following all policies and procedures Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Hands-on experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, and implementing care plans for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and hospice or palliative support is beneficial Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide tailored support Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently; certification is a plus but training can be provided if needed Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives respectful support tailored to their unique needs.
