When specified in the support plan, this service can also include heavy household chores to make the home safer, such as washing floors, windows and walls; tacking down loose rugs and tiles; or moving heavy items or furniture. Services also include non-medical care, and supervision. This service can provide access to communitybased activities that cannot be provided by natural or unpaid community supports and are likely to result in an increased ability to access community resources without paid support. Personal supports are designed to encourage community integration. Personal supports in supported living are also designated to teach the recipient about home-related responsibilities Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to patients of all ages. Use proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and update progress regularly. Qualifications AHCA Level 2 Fingerprints Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous. Police Record Certification in first aid and CPR required and other APD Inservices Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform patient transfers using appropriate techniques like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards. Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with organizational skills to manage multiple patients effectively.
