Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pediatric Home Health Aide (HHA), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to children with diverse medical and developmental needs. As a Pediatric HHA, you will support children inat our facility located in North Lakeland, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive caregiving and medical assistance. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to pediatric clients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients' conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and overall health status. Assist with specialized care needs Utilize electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient information accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support children with developmental disabilities or disabilities by implementing tailored care plans and engaging in therapeutic activities. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, ensuring safe transfers and mobility assistance. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting tasks including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation. Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and team members to deliver holistic patient-centered care. Qualifications Prior experience working in pediatrics is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and caregiving techniques specific to pediatric patients. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued. Ability to observe patient conditions carefully and respond promptly to changes in health status. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children and their families.
