Job Description

Overview G&M Center LLC is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life in a safe, nurturing group home environment. As a DSP at G&M Center, you will play a vital role in helping residents thrive through person-centered care, daily support, and meaningful engagement. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth, training, and long-term stability in the healthcare support field. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility while maintaining dignity and respect Support residents in following individualized support plans and daily routines Monitor residents' overall well-being and report any changes in behavior or health to supervisors promptly Assist with medication administration in accordance with training, policies, and care plans Prepare and assist with nutritious meals based on dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment , including light housekeeping and laundry Provide emotional support, supervision, and companionship Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities Follow all APD, HIPAA, and G&M Center policies and procedures Use proper techniques and equipment (e.g., Hoyer lift or transfer assistance , if trained) to ensure resident and staff safety Qualifications & Skills Experience working in a group home, residential care, or community-based setting preferred Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism preferred Ability to assist with ADLs and mobility support , including safe lifting and transfers CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members Patient, compassionate, reliable, and professional Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnights Why Join G&M Center LLC At G&M Center, we believe caring is more than a job—it's a purpose.
