You will be a trusted companion and essential helper, assisting with daily activities and health needs while fostering independence and dignity. Responsibilities Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and overall condition, reporting any changes promptly Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to prescribed care plans Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life in home or community settings Skills Proven experience working with individuals with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, autism, or neurodevelopmental disorders Skilled in patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of patient care Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare teams, and other caregivers Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments is highly desirable Capable of performing light cleaning duties related to client's personal space and maintaining a safe environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about caregiving who want to provide compassionate support while developing their skills in diverse healthcare settings.
