The client enjoys going to the library, gym, park, and doctor's appointments . The caregiver will spend time with the client, provide supervision, help with daily activities, and take the client to approved community activities and appointments. The caregiver must be respectful, patient, dependable, and able to keep the client safe. The caregiver must also keep all client information private and follow HIPAA rules. Responsibilities Provide companionship and supervision to the client. Help the client with daily activities when needed. Take the client to the library, gym, park, and doctor's appointments . Drive the client to approved activities and appointments. Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility when needed. Prepare meals and snacks. Encourage the client to drink enough water. Help keep the home clean and organized. Help with light cleaning and laundry. Give the client direction and reminders to help keep them safe. Watch for changes in the client's health or behavior and report them to the supervisor. Encourage the client to make choices and be as independent as possible. Follow the client's care plan and agency rules. Keep all client information private and follow HIPAA rules. Transportation Requirements Must have a reliable car. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have current car registration. Must have current car insurance. Must have a safe driving record. Must be willing to drive the client to the library, gym, park, doctor's appointments, and other approved activities. Skills & Qualifications Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred. Must be caring, patient, and dependable. Must be able to work alone and follow directions. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to keep the client safe. Must be able to communicate in English, both spoken and written. Must be on time and reliable.
