  • $22 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Administrative experience Attention to detail Healthcare privacy protection Clerical experience Medical terminology Time management Full Job Description About the Position We are a newly established Medicare-certified, ACHC credentialled, Home Health Agency serving Coral Springs and surrounding Broward County communities.
We are building a strong, professional team to support rapid agency growth, with an anticipated census of 50+ patients in the three months. We are seeking an experienced Home Health Office Coordinator / Administrative Assistant who understands the day-to-day administrative requirements of a Medicare-certified home health agency and can work independently with minimal supervision. This is an important position within a growing organization. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
  • -Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities of the home health office.
  • Assist with processing referrals, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Coordinate communication between referral sources, patients, caregivers, clinicians, physicians, and the office.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of nursing, therapy, and other services
  • Track physician orders, plan-of-care documentation, certifications, recertifications, and other required paperwork.
  • Monitor outstanding clinical and administrative documentation and follow up appropriately.
  • Assist with obtaining and tracking medical records and physician signatures.
  • Maintain accurate patient and employee records.
  • Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, and referral documentation as applicable.
  • Communicate professionally with physicians' offices, hospitals, facilities, referral sources, patients, and families.
  • Enter and maintain information accurately in the agency's electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assist with tracking missed visits, schedule changes, orders, and other operational issues.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper files in accordance with agency policies.
  • Assist management with quality assurance, compliance, audits, and survey preparation
  • Support the Administrator and Director of Nursing with administrative functions.
  • Identify problems proactively and follow through to resolution.
  • Perform other administrative duties necessary for efficient agency operations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of home health administrative/clerical experience preferred.
  • Medicare-certified home health experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of home health terminology, referrals, admissions, physician orders, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Experience with a home health EMR such as WellSky/Kinnser.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and highly detail-oriented.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of patient and agency information.
  • Prior experience working with Medicare home health documentation and processes is a strong advantage.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the position. The successful candidate will not need to be given instructions for every task. We want an individual who understands home health operations, recognizes what needs to be done, follows through, communicates effectively, and brings problems to management together with possible solutions. Compensation$20
  • 22/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with Medicare home health experience, strong EMR knowledge, and the ability to independently manage significant administrative responsibilities.
