The DON will oversee clinical operations, clinical staff, patient care, documentation, Medicare/ACHC compliance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily clinical operations and supervise nursing/clinical staff. Manage admissions, recertifications, resumptions of care, transfers, and discharges. Review OASIS, Plans of Care, physician orders, and clinical documentation . Provide clinical oversight of ICD-10 diagnosis coding and documentation . Ensure documentation supports medical necessity and services provided. Oversee timely Medicare/payer uploads and electronic submission of required documentation . Assist with Medicare claims, ADRs, audits, denials, and medical record requests . Maintain ACHC and Medicare regulatory compliance and survey readiness . Participate in QAPI, clinical audits, infection control, and performance improvement . Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff. Monitor orders, certifications, recertifications, and outstanding documentation. Work with the Administrator to develop systems supporting rapid agency growth. Serve as Alternate Administrator as required by agency policy and applicable regulations. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Florida RN license . Medicare-certified home health experience required. Previous DON, Clinical Manager, Clinical Director, or comparable leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of OASIS, Medicare home health documentation, ICD-10, Plans of Care, and physician orders . Experience with ACHC accreditation/compliance strongly preferred. Experience with Medicare documentation, EMR systems, payer portals, ADRs, audits, or denials preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to function autonomously and make sound clinical and operational decisions .
