33952 Provides direct and indirect patient care in an outpatient wound care setting. Collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Assists with the creation, review, and implementation of departmental clinical policies and processes. Coordinates wound care teaching for new employee orientation and annual competency. Resolves patient and family concerns and complaints, investigating and following up as needed. Monitors and evaluates operations for compliance with licensure, accreditation, and regulatory standards. Reviews documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards. Assists in assignments, directing, and reviewing the work of clinical staff. Administers, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the nursing process in the provision of care. Strives to maintain and improve patient outcomes through adherence to regulatory standards and established protocols. Ensures safe and efficient use of equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and following procedures for repair. Actively participates in performance improvement and process improvement activities. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Possess excellent Customer service skills, interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills. [Required]
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to problem-solve and support teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting. [Required]
  • Computer skills appropriate to position [Required]
  • Work independently with minimal supervision. [Required]
  • Professional but flexible and courteous attitude when interacting with patients and the general public. [Required]
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, Specialty Standards) strongly preferred [Preferred]
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information to both large and small groups [Preferred]
  • Ability to manage stress and handles challenging situations and personalities. [Preferred]
  • Strong Communication Skills in both the written and verbal form [Preferred]
  • Previous Management Skills [Preferred]
Education:
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Work Experience:
  • 1+ acute care nursing experience [Required]
  • 1+ leadership experience [Preferred]
  • 2+ years wound care experience [Preferred)
  • Completion of Hyperbaric training required [Preferred)
  • HBO experience [Preferred]
  • Wound Care Treatment Procedures (Total Contact Casts, Compression Wraps, etc.

). [Preferred]

    • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
    • Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) [Preferred]
    • Basic Life Support
    • CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
