Job Overview We are actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Calling Heroes to serve as Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and Caregivers in Manatee and Sarasota County. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients' conditions, reporting changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Perform basic medical procedures following established protocols, including vital signs measurement and catheter care. Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information accurately and maintain medical records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to promote a safe and healthy environment. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids safely while assisting clients with transfers or repositioning. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or home health settings to deliver comprehensive patient care. Maintain professional standards by adhering to medical terminology guidelines, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies. Experience Prior experience working in senior care, home health, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in patient observation, and medical documentation. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping is preferred. Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia enhances suitability for this role. Knowledge of hospice care practices, long-term care procedures, and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Certification in CPR or first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or specialized dementia/caregiver courses are a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers safely is essential.
