Job Overview Faith Medical Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide exceptional care and assistance to a client with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, and health-related conditions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those served while working within a collaborative and professional team. Duties Assist the client with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and general hygiene. They assist with repositioning every two hours, help with safe mobility, and support the client in maneuvering the power wheelchair as directed. Unskilled staff follow dietary restrictions and NPO precautions as instructed by nursing staff and help maintain a clean, safe environment by completing light housekeeping tasks such as changing linens, cleaning equipment surfaces, removing trash, and keeping the care area tidy. They observe and report any changes in the client's behavior, appetite, or mobility and may accompany the client to community outings or appointments for support. Skills Familiarity with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required as well as a current TB and the ability to pass a background check. Schedule There are three different individuals with weekend positions available.
