Job Description

The Chanan Foundation is a non-profit care provider for adults with Special Needs located in Douglas and Paulding Counties. We strongly believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. We are currently looking for experienced DSPs and CNAs to fill roles in the Residential department of our organization. The right candidates will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have prior experience and compassion for working with the Special Needs population in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position. •Must be able to successfully pass a drug test on site•
Available Part-Time Shift:
Saturday 10am-10pm Sunday 10am-10pm or Saturday 7am-2pm Sunday 7am-2pm This is a Part-Time Weekend position working every Saturday and Sunday.

Employee Referral Program Duties:
Provide supervision and guidance during skill building activities Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship Update individual case notes on a daily basis Engage individual with the community
Qualifications/Skills:
Female candidate for female group home High school or college diploma required Valid Georgia Driver's License Must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record MUST be able to successfully pass a drug test at time of interview Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds 2+ years' experience providing direct care to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities Must have current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
Salary:
$14.00/hr with a raise given at 6 months and at 1 year of employment.
