Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and other health conditions. In this vital role, you will empower clients to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts or residents as needed Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Administer medication and follow care plans established by healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met in group homes or home settings Support clients during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR if required, following established protocols for hospice, memory care, or dementia-related situations Skills Proven experience in assisted living, home health, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, patient monitoring, and medication administration Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting residents' social needs Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Compassionate attitude combined with patience when working with vulnerable populations in various settings Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
