Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home health environments. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Use proper manual handling techniques, including patient transfers with equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring client safety Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in healthcare or caregiving are a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and respecting client confidentiality Experience working with home health or community-based care environments is desirable Join us in providing compassionate support that enhances quality of life!
