Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as patient transfer methods. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, patient monitoring, and reporting changes in condition promptly to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and resident's rights. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment that promotes mental well-being. Experience Prior experience working in hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in patient observation, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care, and supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities such as intellectual disabilities. Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and emergency response procedures. Knowledge of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, manual handling safety protocols, and patient transfer methods. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
