Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster independence and social engagement Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during mobility assistance Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about resident needs or concerns Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through personalized care strategies Engage in patient observation to identify behavioral changes or health issues early for prompt intervention Requirements Prior experience working with veterans is highly preferred Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is strongly recommended; ongoing training is supported Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and respectful care delivery Experience working with care plans, medication assistance and assisting with ADLs Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are essential Must be dependable with a positive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities and client well-being Join us in making a difference every day!
