Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to established goals. Provide patient observation to identify changes in behavior or health status and report findings to appropriate personnel. Support individuals in social activities and community engagement to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols, including HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that promote the physical and emotional well-being of clients. Document all interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong skills in patient observation and patient care. Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus. Ability to assist clients in an assisted living or home health setting. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
