Kaskaskia Workshop, Inc. (KWI) is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). No experience? No problem! We provide paid training and will help you build the skills needed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you'll help individuals develop independence, build relationships, participate in their communities, and live fulfilling lives. Starting Pay:
$17.00 per hour
Available Shifts:
2nd Shift 3rd Shift Our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes provide 24-hour support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. •MUST be DSP Certified for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene Prepare meals and assist with household tasks Administer medications (paid training provided) Support community outings and recreational activities Complete documentation and follow individualized support plans Encourage independence, dignity, and choice Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Community Day Services (CDS) Direct Support Professional Full-Time & Part-Time |
Starting Pay:
$15.50 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Daytime hours No evenings, weekends, or holidays Limited openings available. Our Community Day Services program provides meaningful activities, skill development, and community engagement opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities include:
Support individuals in classroom and community-based activities Assist with skill building and personal goal achievement Encourage social interaction and community participation Complete documentation and daily records Promote independence and person-centered services Maintain a positive, engaging, and safe environment _________________________________________________________________________________________ We're looking for individuals who are: Compassionate and patient Reliable and dependable Positive and team-oriented Willing to learn and grow Passionate about helping others Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license preferred Ability to pass required background checks
