Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing support and guidance to enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, caregiving practices, and conflict management skills, as well as experience working with people with disabilities. Your commitment to patient care and ability to drive positive outcomes will be essential in fostering an inclusive environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients based on their unique needs and goals. Provide direct support in daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in their condition. Facilitate communication between clients, families, and other professionals involved in care. Address any conflicts or challenges that arise while ensuring a supportive environment for clients. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in caregiving and disability services. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and hospice care practices is advantageous. Strong conflict management skills to effectively resolve issues that may arise during caregiving. Experience in childcare or similar settings is a plus. A valid driver's license is required for transportation purposes.
