Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Residential Direct Support Professional, where your compassion and hands-on care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, cognitive challenges, or aging needs. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support in a residential setting, fostering independence, safety, and well-being. Shifts Full-time:
2nd Shift (3p-11p) and 3rd Shift (11p-7a)
Part-time:
2nd Shift (Saturday, Sunday, Monday; 2pm-10pm) Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary needs are met Engage residents in recreational activities and socialization to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being Practice safe lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain a clean, safe living environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of resident spaces Requirements DSP Certification required Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly preferred Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is beneficial Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for transportation needs if necessary Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility when needed Join us in creating a supportive community where every individual receives respectful, personalized care.
