Job Description
Encompass Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Technologist (RNT) to support inpatient rehabilitation patients through high-quality, compassionate care. In this role, you'll assist with patient assessments, carry out care plans, monitor vitals, and support mobility and daily living activities under RN and physician direction. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to promote optimal recovery, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Responsibilities Assist with patient assessments and implement care plans under RN and physician supervision Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status in the EHRSupport patient mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene and feeding Reinforce patient and family education on therapy goals and home care instructions Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe patient environment Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and physicians to support rehab goals Report changes in patient condition promptly to the clinical team Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences Support orientation of new staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement Required Skills Patient vital sign monitoring Rehabilitation nursing support Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Basic wound care Patient mobility and transfer techniques Activities of daily living (ADL) assistance Infection control practices Medication administration support Patient and family education Interdisciplinary care coordination
