Job Description

Paid Training up to 4 weeks When you start your Open Door career, you will have 4 weeks of paid training with hands-on experience in the group homes. When you complete the training, you will become a Direct Support Professional (DSP). $1,500 Sign on Bonus (subject to terms and conditions disclosed upon hire) What you can expect In this role, you will be helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with their daily care. As a caregiver, you will be assisting residents in one of our ten group homes throughout Sandwich. You will have a strong support system with your supervisor and co-workers. Each home has a meal plan that you can help prepare with the clients. Each day you will be able to build relationships with the individuals you help. This role allows you to give back to someone in the community that needs your help. Your day will include assisting the clients with: personal hygiene toileting & bathing preparing or assisting in meal preparation passing medications socializing organizing games and activities building relationships Requirements Pass a Background Check Must be at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have a valid drivers license Pre-employment physical Must be able to lift 50lbs Open Door Rehabilitation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, age, pregnancy or related medical condition, marital or familiar status, disability, veteran status, political affiliation, or genetic information in accordance with state and federal laws.
