Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and become a vital part of empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide personalized support, promote community engagement, and assist clients with daily activities. Your compassionate approach will help foster a safe, respectful environment where each individual can thrive and reach their full potential. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while developing valuable skills in caregiving, recreational therapy, and community-based support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and social outings to enhance quality of life Plan and coordinate community events or outings to promote social engagement and independence Monitor health status and communicate any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members Manage schedules for clients' appointments, medication reminders, and daily routines Provide emotional support and counseling on aging issues, memory care, or dementia-related challenges Collaborate with team members to develop personalized care plans that meet each individual's unique needs Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care best practices Background in recreational therapy or working with individuals with disabilities enhances your ability to engage clients meaningfully Proven ability to manage schedules efficiently while prioritizing safety and well-being Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and empathy Familiarity with long-term care or home & community care environments is a plus Embark on a fulfilling career where your dedication transforms lives!
