Positions in New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Charlestown, IN Full time and part time will become available. Overview Sweet Community Services are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in a residential setting. The setting is in a residential home, with around the clock care. First, second, and third shifts available. Responsibilities- Assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication pass.
- Implement care plans and provide emotional support
- Engage individuals in social activities and recreational programs
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the individuals under your care Experience
- Experience in patient care or direct support is preferred
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to follow care plans effectively
- Experience with intellectuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
- Physical ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
