Job Description

We are hiring for part time Direct Support Professional to work weekends and evenings who want to positively impact their community while working with some remarkable individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. The Arc of the Wabash Valley strives to facilitate the integration of persons with disabilities into every aspect of community living and our Direct Support Professionals support this mission by assisting with daily activities, personal care, medication administration, providing transportation to social and recreational activities and building appropriate social skills and relationships. In addition to a great sense of satisfaction in knowing they are making a difference every day, The Arc of the Wabash Valley Direct Support Professionals enjoy flexible hours, competitive wages, mileage reimbursement and the potential for quarterly bonuses. Our ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, organized and enjoys working with others. Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided! Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., valid Driver's License and active liability auto insurance coverage, and must be able to pass a background check.
