Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration following prescribed protocols and ensure resident safety at all times Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care by implementing personalized routines and behavioral management strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers while adhering to safe patient lifting practices Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status and report any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary plans, ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained Engage residents in social activities, group outings, and community integration to promote mental stimulation and social well-being Skills Prior assisted living or residential care home experience with a focus on senior care or long-term care environments Strong background working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification for emergency response readiness Ability to operate standard passenger cars for community outings or appointments safely and responsibly Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while respecting residents' rights Experience with behavior management techniques tailored to individuals with behavioral challenges or memory issues Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for resident transfers and mobility assistance This role is an excellent opportunity for compassionate individuals eager to provide impactful support in a dynamic environment.
