Position Description A Direct Support Professional works directly with the individuals we serve. DSPs are the mentors and support systems that help our clients live lives with the maximum level of independence and dignity. Compensation Starting wage is $18 an hour. Dental, vision, and supplemental insurances are available. Job Function Assist in the development of daily living skills for our clients. Helping to maintain the household cleaning routines. Keeping client paperwork and shift notes up to date. Attending ongoing staff development training. Protecting our clients from and reporting suspicions of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation. Job Requirements Must have the drive to help others. DSPs are the primary support of our clients and need to be compassionate and hold themselves and others to a high standard of integrity. Applicants must have a valid Driver's License and must pass all background checks required to work with our clients. MCDS requires that all DSPs are Mandt, CPR, and First Aid certified; the company will provide the training for these certifications. Hours are flexible and can be discussed during the interview process. Mandatory Overtime, 8 hours per pay period. All training is paid. MCDS is an equal opportunity employer.
