Job Description

Dennisport - area Job Overview We are seeking to hire dedicated Home Care Aides to provide weekend support to our clients in the Dennisport Cape Cod region. The Aides will provide essential companion and personal care support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidates will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting Dennisport area seniors with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. You will work in close collaboration with our in-house RN care managers. Duties Engage clients in activities of daily living (ADLs), social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation, nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs. Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients. Participate in Summit's mandatory caregiver on-boarding training. Requirements Punctual, responsible and careing Energetic, positive, and kind attitude is essential Previous home care including companion and personal care is preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation practices is preferred. Open to working weekend day and night shifts including weekend overnight shifts Ability to lift 25 lbs. and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques. English speaking. Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence in the home Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent training is desirable but not required.
